In addition to its historical significance, St mellons country club has become a notable filming location, most famously featured in the beloved British sitcom Gavin & Stacey. Fans of the show will be delighted to know that our picturesque library played host to the much-anticipated wedding of the year- Smithy and Nessa’s unforgettable ceremony.

St Mellons Country Club has a rich and vibrant past
Built in 1861 and originally known as Llwynarfan House, the house has been home to many different families over the years and was also commissioned as a hospital during World War 1. After the war the house returned to being a beautiful family home, occupied by the Webb family, who were known for hosting fabulous parties and extravagant balls.
And now we are looking to carry on their legacy of hosting luxury celebrations.
In 2020 St Mellons Country Club began undergoing restoration work to transform this beautiful period building into an exclusive wedding venue and restoring this Manor House to its former glory.
A brand-new extension will also provide a stunning new bar and lounge area, bringing our ballroom into the 21st century.
With building work due to be completed by May 2022 we look forward to throwing open the doors and welcome couples to get married from June onwards.

Do you charge to have a ceremony held on-site?
As a venue, we do not charge.
Can we bring in our own caterers?
No, but our caterers, Cresta Caterers, have over 50 years of experience in the wedding industry and are experts in creating great food your guests will love!
Can we use our own suppliers, such as photographers and florists?
Yes, of course! We welcome all suppliers.
Can we use confetti and sparklers?
Yes, we just ask that the confetti is biodegradable or naturally dried flowers.
Is there parking available for our guests?
Yes, there is ample parking available, and it is free of charge.
