St Mellons Country Club has a rich and vibrant past
Built in 1861 and originally known as Llwynarfan House, this beautiful period home has welcomed many families over the years and even served as a hospital during World War I. After the war, it returned to being a private family residence, famously occupied by the Webb family, who delighted in hosting grand parties and extravagant balls.
Today, we continue that proud legacy of luxury entertaining. In 2020, St Mellons Country Club began a careful restoration to bring this historic Manor House back to its former glory, transforming it into an exclusive venue for weddings, private hire, and corporate events. A stunning new extension now features a modern bar and lounge, perfectly complementing our elegant ballroom.
As of 2026, we are thrilled to fully host weddings and private celebrations while also offering a calendar full of boutique events for you to enjoy. Whether planning your dream wedding, an unforgettable party, or a bespoke corporate gathering, St Mellons Country Club is ready to create memories that last a lifetime.

Do you charge to have a ceremony held on-site?
As a venue, we do not charge.
Can we bring in our own caterers?
No, but our caterers, Cresta Caterers, have over 50 years of experience in the wedding industry and are experts in creating great food your guests will love!
Can we use our own suppliers, such as photographers and florists?
Yes, of course! We welcome all suppliers.
Can we use confetti and sparklers?
Yes, we just ask that the confetti is biodegradable or naturally dried flowers.
Is there parking available for our guests?
Yes, there is ample parking available, and it is free of charge.
